ABOUT SFFFF2025
In 2025, the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival proudly celebrated its 19th year! With nearly two decades of curating bold and captivating films, SFFFF once again delivered a dynamic range of storytelling and creative expression to the vibrant San Francisco community. The 2025 festival was an unforgettable experience, showcasing some of the most innovative voices in independent cinema.
As part of SFFFF’s nonprofit mission to bring exceptional art to the Bay Area, the 2025 festival featured films from around the world, along with standout works by both emerging and established Bay Area filmmakers—many of whom participated in live Q&As.
From thought-provoking dramas and documentaries to mind-bending experimental pieces, riotous comedies, compelling LGBTQ+ stories, and intricate, award-winning animations, SFFFF 2025 inspired, captivated, and kept audiences on the edge of their seats.
The festival ran from July 16–19 at The Crossing Outdoor Cinema (250 Main Street, SF), bringing together film lovers for in-person screenings and special events. Moviemaker Magazine counts SFFFF among the “Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World,” and the San Francisco Chronicle has called it the “best festival deal in town.”
In addition to screenings at The Crossing, SFFFF 2025 included an online film component that reached audiences around the globe. The in-person and online programs each showcased different, curated selections.
Our award-winning $25 festival pass granted access to all films and events, including the Opening Night Mixer, which took place on Wednesday, July 16, from 6–8pm.
