In 2027, the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival proudly celebrates its 21st anniversary, continuing more than two decades of championing independent filmmakers and bringing extraordinary cinema to the heart of San Francisco. TWENTY27 will once again showcase an exceptional collection of independent films, filmmaker conversations, live events, and unforgettable community experiences.

As part of SFFFF's ongoing nonprofit mission to present exceptional independent film and support emerging artistic voices, the 2027 festival will feature outstanding films from around the world alongside remarkable projects from both emerging and established Bay Area filmmakers. Throughout the festival, many filmmakers will join audiences for live Q&A sessions, providing unique insight into their creative process and the stories behind their work.

Audiences can expect an exciting and diverse lineup spanning award-winning narrative features, compelling documentaries, short films, animation, comedy, drama, experimental cinema, science fiction, horror, LGBTQ+ stories, surf and skate films, music-focused cinema, and innovative works that challenge, entertain, and inspire. Every official selection is carefully curated to celebrate creativity, originality, and the future of independent filmmaking.

TWENTY27 will take place July 21 through July 25, 2027. Festival screenings will once again be held at The Cut Outdoor Cinema at The Crossing (250 Main Street, San Francisco), with additional festival venues to be announced. Opening Night festivities begin on Wednesday, July 21, with the annual Opening Night Party at The Lost Church, bringing together filmmakers, artists, festival supporters, and film lovers from around the world to celebrate the beginning of another unforgettable festival.
