Join us for an evening of short plays and short films presented by the SF Frozen Film Festival. FROZEN THEATER LIVE! @The Lost Church

Introducing Frozen Theater Live!

The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival is bringing its celebration of independent art beyond the screen. Frozen Theater Live! is a new event series where short plays, short films, and visual art share the spotlight, bringing San Francisco’s theater and film communities together for an unforgettable night out.

Meet the local playwrights, actors, filmmakers, photographers, and painters behind the work. Discover a performance that moves you, a film you’ll want to talk about, and artists you’ll be glad you found. Whether you’re part of the creative community or simply love experiencing something new, there’s a place for you in the audience.

Join us for the first Frozen Theater Live!
Tuesday, November 10, 7–11 PM
The Lost Church, 988 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco

Join us for an evening of short films and live theater featuring local playwrights and actors along with filmmakers, photographers, and painters as we celebrate independent artists in SF's North Beach.

About The Director

Sara Judge brings 15 years of making theater and music in San Francisco to her role as Director of Frozen Theater Live! A writer, director, performer, and songwriter with an MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts, Sara creates work rooted in collaboration with theater makers, musicians, poets, and neighbors throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

Her work explores social media’s influence on art and culture, the joys and struggles of gender identity, parenting from the perspective of a trans woman, and climate fiction that asks how we might navigate an imagined apocalypse. Across these themes, she makes room for experimentation, connection, and stories that invite audiences to see the world from another perspective.

In her immersive theater work, Sara has brought together writers, directors, comedians, actors, and dancers to weave short plays and live music into a weekly series. Performing as both an actor and musician, she helped create an intimate look at the lives, creative processes, and challenges of performing artists. Each week offered a different show, with audiences becoming part of the story and even choosing to join the performers onstage.

That spirit of collaboration and discovery shapes her approach to Frozen Theater Live!, bringing artists and audiences together to celebrate independent work and San Francisco’s creative community.
